I couldn’t complete this series of posts about amazing local volunteers without thanking the fabulous team of at Discover U who produced our wonderful main and highly commended awards for us this year. They were beautiful and completely unique, with each one made individually by hand. I’ve included a photo of Riverside CIC’s so you can see close up how stupendous they were 🙂

Lauren Bollans is our final young #dva18 star volunteer @HWDudley

Lauren Bollans won the Joint Young Volunteer of the Year Award at DVA18 and although she was unable to attend on the evening, we hope she was delighted and proud of her well-deserved award. Lauren has a passion for supporting other young people and raising awareness of mental health issues.

Bec from Dudley Young Health Champions who nominated Lauren and Faye Hall who co-ordinates the project were delighted to collect the award on her behalf.

Skye Edwards is today’s young #dva18 star volunteer @HWDudley

Skye Edwards was awarded the Joint Main Award for Young Volunteer of the Year 2018 and is a Healthwatch Dudley Youth Health Champion.

Skye is an inspiration to her peers and adults around her. Despite challenges she has faced in her life and becoming a parent at 18 Skye has always thought of others before herself.
