This amazing group of volunteers have transformed the High Street where they live #fabfridaystars #dva18

The group pf volunteers were formed to try to improve the ambience of XXXX, to involve more of the community, Churches, schools and also to let those using this very busy road purely as road access to see something of their community.

They raised funds to provide planters full of flowers along the road and also make the grounds of the Community Centre a welcoming place to rest and admire. In addition this team of volunteers looked after the High Street all year round, litter picking, removing graffiti and weeding.

Through hard graft, dedication and commitment, it was agreed to enter “Britain in Bloom”, in the Heart of England area and in 2016 they were awarded a Silver Award, for a first time entrant and achieved a second Silver Award in 2017!

Most of your favourite arts and heritage events, and venues rely on volunteers to do roles such as helping in museums, providing support backstage at performances, as well as facilitating community arts, drama and music. A host of inspirational volunteers take up these roles and enjoy the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing!
